一審法院認為，孫女提供的2人陌頭同業、逛家居用品賣場等照片，都沒有密切肢體接觸，且段女的訊息均為空洞陳說及質問，不足以證實有逾越行爲，駁回求償100萬。但二審法官檢視段女及沈男的訊息，和調閱與比對飯店紀錄、照片，發現段女與沈男同業入住、共進午飯、逛賣場挑床包，契合段女的搬弄陳說，認定兩人有不平常交往關係，損害孫女婚姻時的權益，判兩人須賠15萬元，不得上訴。
